Yay & Yawn

Yay! I had a "fake" driving-exam today and I got an exemption for however you may call them in English for things like parking, straight line reverse etc etc.
This little paper I can take with me to the real exam and I won't have to do them on July 6th, which is the date!! So, little excited about that!

Talking about exams, I have two for school in two weeks. So learning, reading, yawning, learning, being bored, frustrated, reading bla-bla-bla...
I really, really wonder when in life I'm gonna need all the info about glacial times for general fysical geography...

Will I be walking the dog or something, see some weird obstacle in the road and wonder to myself, would this have been caused by.... Oooh I wouldn't want to bother you with it ;)
Anyway... Back to studying... (Yawns)

Weird Expectations

I love my friends. I really do. Everyone seems to have a best friend...
Best friends do everything for each other. To me, that includes going to Volendam when my best friend asked me, to kind of, sort of, hold her hand (and take her picture) when meeting Jan Smit.

Volendam is one of the most traditional (and thereby the best tourist trap) little town of Holland.

In it live a few well know Dutch singers... Jan Smit is one of them. He is the same age as I am... And I remember one perticular Christmas, when I was 11 years old, my mom and I were hanging the Christmas lights when I thought she was doing some imitation of Jan, singing Oh Lieve Oma... Or whatever it may have called... Anyway...

Last Sunday it was time to meet this young man.

After some silly comment I made to my friend... She "bluffed" me to go back, say it to Jan Smit, get two cocktails, french fries, two tickets and something else in return.

So there I went... Back to Jan.

Said... Hi, my name is Tessa, what is yours? Jan acted along and said, Jan. My reply; Do you own this joint? He says, Yes I'm the boss...

Anyway... That was it. Had a good day in Volendam, filled with laughs (and some tears), nice weather and a best friend, who understands me and the crazy person I am, to make a complete fool out of myself in front of Jan Smit...

2 Kids Down ;)

Ok, thats not me on the picture, neither was it the car I was driving...
But it was similar to the thing I did today!
We went to some hickville town outside of Barneveld with my instructor and two other "students"... We had loads of fun on our way to it, even though we hit some traffic-jams and obviously the training!
At first I didn't like it too much, but hey... I did it and loved it ;)
Its good to know how to react in certain circumstances.... I only hit two kids... (read: pawns)...
Good experience!
